Atrax is a small consulting company with a big vision – to create a sustainable society. Atrax operates primarily in the public construction industry and we perform consulting assignments in the areas of sustainability, contaminated sites, occupational health and safety and project management. Atrax is characterized by high quality in our work, job satisfaction and flexibility. Our driving force comes from creating value for our customers and helping them in their challenges to create communities that will meet future needs.

Atrax is owned and operated by its employees. At present, we are just over 20 employees with the aim of increasing the number. We have a good profitability, satisfied customers and fantastic colleagues! Our working methods follow the management systems for Quality Management, Environment Management and Occupational Health and Safety (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 respectively).

Atrax Energi AB was founded in Gothenburg in 1982 by civil engineer Nils Elam. During the initial years, the company was mainly active within the chemical / technical industry. Nils’ son Anders began working in the company in 1991 and during this time, the company’s operations were expanded to include environmental and infrastructure aspects. Atrax worked, among other things, to assess the environmental effects of the large road infrastructure investments in the Stockholm region. In 1997, Atrax was commissioned to lead the work of constructing Sweden’s first facility for large-scale production of ethanol as fuel. At this time, two more people were employed in the company and the majority of the business began to be conducted from Stockholm. In 2009, the company changed its name to Atrax Energi & Miljö.
